THE PPCRV
The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) has been working assiduously for Clean, Honest, Accurate, Meaningful and Peaceful elections. It has done so, and continues to do so without the usual fanfare or clanging cymbals and noisy gongs. As a national parish-based political but non-partisan lay movement established in 1991, the PPCRV has grown to earn the respect of both civil society and ecclesiastical bodies in its initiatives of transforming the electoral culture of the country.

Impelled by "FAITH and FIRE", close to 500,000 PPCRV pastoral agents campaign in various communities nationwide to fulfill its mandate to Voters' Education, and during election time risk their lives safeguarding the sanctity of the ballot as pollwatchers in the voting centers throughout our motherland.
It is a matter of public record that the PPCRV has been accredited as a COMELEC Citizen's Arm in the following electoral process: 11 May 1992 Synchronized Elections; 1993 Special Elections for Governor of Bataan; 1994 Special Elections for Congressman Second District of Rizal; 1995 National and Local Elections; 1996 Sangguniang Kabataan Elections; 1997 Recall Elections Caloocan City; General and Continuing Registration under R.A. 8189; 1998 National and Local Elections; 1999 ARMM Regional Elections; 1999 Plebiscite on creation of City of Novaliches; 2000 Recall Elections of Mayor of Pasay City; 2001 National and Local Elections; 2004 National and Local Elections; 2005 August ARMM Elections.

Nationwide, PPCRV's collective effort is an embodiment of a living responsive faith which seeks a socially involved lay faithful with a discerning conscience especially in the selection of candidates for public office. The dignity of the human person involves the right to take a pro-active part in good governance so that politics will be restored to its true meaning of being for the common good. The human individual, far from being an object and, as it were, a merely passive element in the social order, is in fact, its subject, its foundation and its end. PPCRV is resolved to continue bringing this fact to light.
