DLSU-Dasma Certificate of Appreciation

The Certificate of Appreciation was given by the De La Salle University - Dasmariñas Lasallian Community Development Center to PPCRV-Cavite.
This was given in their "Ang Kaagapay na si Juan Dela Cruz: 3rd Partner's Day Celebration" on January 25, 2008 during the week-long celebration of the DLSU-Dasmariñas founding anniversary. The celebration hoped to strengthen the partnership between the DLSU-LCDC institutions as well as identify other possible areas of engagement.
Mr. Romulo received the Certificate in behalf of Fr. Lino N. De Castro, PPCRV Priest Coordinator for Cavite.

Si Dindo ay tuwang-tuwa, handang bumoto
Suot bagong damit, may ballpen sa bulsa
Pumasok sa presinto, nagulat sa nakita.
Botante ba ito? May baril na dala
Ang kapal ng pitaka, namumudmod ng pera.
Botante ba ito? Lasing – alak ang hininga
Habang bumoboto, ang cellphone kinokopya.
Si Dindo’y litung-lito, ganito ba ang pagboto?
Ang watcher may kamera, ba’t di gamitin, hulihin ito.
Hindi niya natiis, lumabas, nagtanong
Sa guro, nagsasalansan ng papel – may computer at tabako.
Bakit ganitong kagulo, walang batas sa presinto?
Musmos ka pa Dindo, kailangang matuto.
Madalas naghahari sa pagpili ng liderato
Mga nakatira sa mansion, magagara ang kotse
Malaman ang passbook – ang wika ay tseke.
Gintong hikaw naguumapaw, pagkain litsong baka,
Sa kanila, tao kahit sino, laging may halaga.
Hinagpis ni Dindo: Saan ako tutungo
Hihingi ng katarungan – Malacañang o Sandigang Bayan?
Paano ang pagboto – isang balota, isang tao?
Paano ang bayan, binuwag na troso?
Ang balota nilibing sa puntod, ginawang pulutan
Ng kasakiman at kadiliman ng kapwa Pilipino.
Inang Bayan, kalian, kalian ang ilaw sa pagboto ng wasto?

Note: This poem was written during the workshop on poetry in the 2nd National Congress on Good Citizenship at NCPAG, University of the Philippines, Quezon City. The workshop participants were asked to write a poem within 25 minutes around the theme of graft and corruption, using the 31 words identified at random by the workshop participants in connection with the topic. Amb. de Villa wrote her poem in 25 minutes using 28 of these words. She was asked by UP Professor Vim Nadera, facilitator of the workshop, to read her poem during the plenary session.

COMELEC OFFICIALS IN THE PRECINTS REQUIRE YELLOW IDS FOR ALL POLLWATHCERS.
Action: Chairman Abalos issued a memorandum date 13 May 2007 to ALL Regional Election Directors, all Provincial Election Supervisors, all Election Officers acknowledging that the "PPCRV is one of the Citizen's Arm groups accredited to assist the Commission in the performance of its functions & activities in connection with the May 14, 2007 elections. ALL are hereby directed to honor the PPCRV identification cards a sduly signed & noted by the undersigned (Chairman Abalos) when presented by its members." SPP No. 06-140
