PPCRV RECEIVED A CITATION FROM MALACANANG FOR ITS INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTION IN ENABLING THE AUTOMATED ELECTIONS

To all the PPCRV volunteers, who gave so selflessly of time and effort; who served God and country without expectation of reward; who traveled at times on foot and for hours across mountainous terrain to spread voters' education even in the remotest areas; who met the PCOS machines from the planes and boats they arrived on and guarded them all the way to the polling center; who bravely stood in front of crowds, some hostile because of the long lines and searing
heat of the sun; who carried the disabled up flights of stairs; who helped those who couldn’t find their names and precincts; who brushed aside exhaustion after counting and transmission and accompanied the CF cards to the municipal office; who extended whatever helping hand they could to anyone and everyone who needed the least bit of assistance…each and every one of you is a hero! Each of you shows the true mettle of what it is to be a Filipino: brave and unbowed yet humble and giving. This award is about you and for you. It is about your individual courage and our collective strength. It is the story of our faith on fire! We salute each of you….a true Filipino Hero!
PPCRV received a citation from Malacanang for its "Invaluable contribution in ...enabling the Automated Election of May 10, 2010.” The award was received by members of PPCRV Board of Directors and officers, namely: Jun Lagman, Clifford Sorita, Ambassador Henrietta T. de Villa, Ana de Villa Singson, Atty. Howard Calleja, Nitoy Ventosa.
