PPCRV issues statement on the ERs and CF Cards found in junk shops
This is in reference to the Elections Returns (ERs) and Compact Flash Cards (CF) found in a junkshop in Barangay Puntod, Cagayan de Oro, and which are now in the custody of PPCRV Cagayan de Oro Coordinator, Fr. Nathaniel Lerio.
Fr. Lerio immediately reported this situation to Ambassador Henrietta T. de Villa, PPCRV National Chairperson. Since the paraphernalia found belong to Comelec, if indeed these are the same election paraphernalia which were reported by the Election Officer as lost, then these documents should be in the custody of the Commission on Elections. Ambassador de Villa at once informed the Comelec National Office through Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal.
The agreement reached by PPCRV Cagayan de Oro's Fr. Lerio and the Regional Director of Comelec is that these election paraphernalia now in the custody of the former will be turned over to the latter only after an inventory or audit of these materials is done. And this inventory or audit be opened to the public for viewing. Ambassador de Villa is sending Bro. Romulo Guillermo of PPCRV National to witness said inventory or audit.
